Time Management in the Internet Lifestyle

Things have been changing. I’ve seen the fire and the focus in some of my friends, both online and off over the past few weeks. It’s like I can smell the fresh cut grass of a baseball field every morning with how we are building our businesses right now.

The way you spend your time is more important than ever. The recent events in Haiti really proves that. Stop doing shit that you hate, stop paying for mortgages that you can’t afford and stop doing shit that doesn’t affect your bottom line or help you grow your business.

Here is a quick vid I shot that talks more about time management, but its not about time management. It’s about spending your time to where every minute counts towards your tomorrow.

The Internet Lifestyle and Time Management

What can you be working on right now that will affect your bottom line?

I have a cool case study of a music product launch that will get you super inspired to do stuff asap. The results have been nothing shirt of awesome. See you in the comments.

Hi Greg,
I like your message of doing things that are meaningful to us. We waste so much time on crap that really is adding little value. These past couple of months I’ve become a lot more focused on doing things that are moving me forward towards accomplishing my business goals.

Sorry, I haven’t visited here for so long. Where do I pay the fine? ;)

I’ve just cleared out my RSS feed and have left your blog in there, so I should be able to notice your new posts much easier now. :)

Thanks Gordie - I’ve seen the focus with a lot of people in this niche and they are really starting to stop talking and blogging about what they want and actually getting what they want. That really got me motivated.

BTW - love what you are doing with the site, with the multi-authors. Great work man.

Thanks, man. The multi-author idea has really given me a lot of time to do other things while my blog can continue to grow. If you ever want to guest post (only if it’s worth your time though ;) ) then let me know.

Whered you get that advice to clear out your blog Gordie? lol

Excellent advice Greg. One of my added values to LifeDestiny and my life is Simplicity.

I now live by it.

Hey Tanner,
Yes, mate. You were the one who inspired me to cut down my list of blogs I follow. I only left the best ones such as Greg’s and yours. :)

Greg, lovin’ the tat, dude!!!

This vid needs to be viewed by any and all young, aspiring entrepreneurs because it’s so easy to get caught up in just one task, and next thing you know it’s 10pm and you haven’t accomplished what you needed to. Scratch that, this vid needs to be viewed by any and all people who want to make it happen, period….but not just viewed….actually taken into account and implemented. Take your time seriously–like you said, you can’t get it back.

You’re great with the videos, Greg. Keep ‘em comin’!

Yo Ash - thanks for the video props. I love doing this kind of stuff. Sometimes it freaks people out when you put out a tri-pod and camera in the middle of a walkway, but hey - why not work in the middle of a beautiful day in the park?

Cool vid. I had to go to Vimeo to watch it though. Maybe it’s a Firefox bug? I do end up spending a lot of time on things that don’t matter, so it has been helping me a lot to just outsource things like editing and graphics instead of spending time doing it myself. A really cool marketer Russell Brunson, taught me a lot about not trying to be the master of everything. He recommended “The E Myth Revisted” to learn how to systematize your business to save time, and says, “An entrepreneur’s job is to get specialized knowledge, create a system, and take action (get someone else to do it).

Great video, Greg.

For me, whenever I feel myself getting bogged down with a task I am simply not into (for whatever reason), I basically ask myself - “Can somebody else do this for me…?”, if the answer is yes, I seriously STOP it and delegate.

I am lucky to have some GREAT people working for me. That’s for sure.

However, if the truth be told, it wasnt always that easy. I have struggled in the past - I think we have, and maybe some of us still do.

And in response to Ls’ comment above, yes, the E-Myth is supposed to be excellent - I am starting it on my trip to the US next week! I cant wait to get stuck in.

Cool ass blog, Greg - lets collaborate soon…

Best,
Chris

Thanks for the words Chris. Having that team in place is so vital to success in business. It’s a scary firs step for many people, myself included.

Where are you headed in the states? I’d love to connect and collab on something!

Hey Greg-

Dead-on. Thanks for sharing the video. A mentor of mine recently shared a good quote that fits well with your message.

“Information overload isn’t the problem. The problem is a failure to filter.”

I feel good time management hinges on this. Do what’s important, filter out the crap, and rock on.

Cheers!
Matt
