There Is Never A Right Time
In life we always wait for the perfect time.
- The perfect time to quit a job and run your business.
- The perfect time to pop the question.
- The perfect time to have a baby.
- The perfect time to buy a home.
- The perfect time to start saving.
- The perfect time to release a product.
- The perfect time to start working out.
I can tell you this because even though I’ve done some cool stuff, I have been in so many situations when it wasn’t the perfect time. When things didn’t work out as planned. But I am better for just doing something.
I was young when I got married, but it was the perfect time and I spend everyday with an amazing person. We don’t know when the perfect time is to have kids, but we aren’t worried about it being perfect.
It wasn’t the perfect time when I bought my home. But at least we made the leap. It taught us so much and the next time we will be better prepared.
When I launched my first business product, it wasn’t perfect timing. I didn’t have the biggest list. I didn’t have the biggest blog. But I launched and my partners and I made some rent money. It wasn’t a home run, but it was something.
Life Is All About Doing
Doing what feels right. Doing what your gut tells you to do. Sometimes it’s popular, sometimes it’s not. Sometime you win, sometimes you don’t, but if you always wait for the perfect moment, life will pass you by.
- The girl will get away.
- The business opportunity will get cold.
- You get old.
What are you doing with your life today to make sure that opportunity doesn’t blow away? I know what I’m doing. Let’s chat below. Looking forward to hearing what you have to say.

Nicely put, and I enjoyed the rhyme at the end, “The business opportunities get COLD, you will get OLD.”
I am going to start treating my projects more on a quarterly basis, and just one step at a time make sure I get some awesome goal conquered for each every 4 months. At least some kind of product launch,(free or paid) or awesome piece of core content…
Surfs up,
@Sal - hah, didn’t even rhyme on purpose, must be a habit or something. I think quarterly goals and projects are good, but I think we all need the small wins too. The stuff that reminds us daily that we are on track, doing the right thing and going in the right direction.
that’ s right,, perfect is now.
Perfectly good written post and very true. Waiting for “optimal conditions” is overrated. Plus, when we wait too long, we place too many pre-existing expectations and outcomes in our head, which many times translates to feeling stressed and fearful. Hence, why many people can’t conceive when they’re trying
@DoreenO - Good point on the pre-existing expectations. We can build something up in our head for so long that when the time finally comes it lands in a thud.
