Catch Me On The Flip Side

It is dark as hell as I write this. And it’s 12:30 in the afternoon.

For the past 2 months I have been busting ass at a new startup a few miles from my place. I have some nice dual monitors shining, the blinds to my nice window office closed and away I go. 10-12 hour days. Cranking out new sites, testing the living crap out of affiliate offers and writing some of the best SPAMish emails of all time (I’m talking to you cheezy viagra ads and Nigerian money laundering campaigns - I am out to crush you).

And I am loving every minute of it. Not to mention the 25 awesome musicians I am working with in the NME Blueprint Course.

But my presence in my little world that I worked so damn hard to build has been chillin. No blog posts (neither here nor Gen-Y Rock Stars), no guest posts (my bread n butter) and not much chatter on Twitter except to promote stuff.

So this isn’t the comeback post (I hate bloggers that do that, the “sorry I haven’t posted shit”), but it is a “Guess Who’s Biz-ack (nice Jay-Z, Beanie Siegel and Scarface reference right there) and an attempt to find some ways to integrate all the stuff my head is spinning about and get it onto my canvas (aka Wordpress).

Today it’s nothing more than a hello, along with an open invitation to some cool stuff.

Affiliates Partying Hard

Next Monday, September 27th is the Affiliate Summit unConference. It’s going down at SeaWorld and is going to kick major ass. I have been working long and hard to get our first official CPA offer in the networks and will do whatever it takes to get it online by this event.

I also plan on speaking at the unConference with my new partner Brett Burky on outsourcing to grow your online marketing business. We have created an entire business model around the concept of outsourcing and have devoured courses by John Reese (Outsource Force), John Jonas, Source Control, some other crazy stuff, been in forums, found some really great people, found some really bad people and now have a dedicated full time team of 5 employees, all working virtually.

M-I-Yay-Yo

Next up is a huge event down in Miami - Social Media Marketing Advertising on Thursday, September 30th. I am rocking the stage with Mark Schmulen of Constant Contact, John Chow, my UK homie (I think he’s officially a San Fran guy now though) Murray Newlands and a bunch of other really talented internet marketing folks.

If you want a ticket, you can grab one and get 20% off by using the code SPKR20. Signup here.

I will be speaking right after John Chow and my topic is something that I really love to talk about and that is Leveraging OPA. It’s like OPP only cooler. It will be a great 30 minute session and if you’ve ever seen me speak before you know I love to give out takeaways and insider trade secrets. This will be no different.

I even saw that superstar photographer Taylor Jackson will be flying in from Canada to hang out with us in South Beach.

Next up are some posts that I need to get out of my head including one that chronicles my latest product launch for the NME Blueprint, the decision to join a startup company just as my own business started to boom and stuff on life and living it like a god damn rock star.

See you next time with some more crazy adventures and tales and I hope to see some of you on the road over the next few weeks.

-Greg

P.S. If you are not reading Simon Black and his Notes From The Field, do it. It’s free. I will be chatting about this stuff someday soon too. So fascinating, especially for internet entrepreneurs and those in the lifestyle design niche. Holler back youngins.

Nice post! It’s all about working hard and partying hard. Affiliate summit unconference on the 27th sounds like a lot of fun with many awesome internet entrepreneurs.
