How To Create Free Products To Introduce Your Brand
In today’s video I revisit my trip to Cocoa Beach and chat with Sal Greco on his free eCourse and what he hopes to accomplish with it.
Creating A Free Info Product
Still the most efficient way to create long term income to your online business is through the creation of an engaged mailing list. Not building your email list from your blog or website is mistake number one.
The defacto email service to use to collect these names and emails is Aweber. It is what we use and what we recommend to our clients. They are offering a $1 30-day trial to get started. Check it out here (affiliate link).
After you have made the mental decision to create a free product, eBook, Manifesto, eCourse, video series or whatever, you need to figure out what it is that you are going to create.
My suggestion is to draw upon your personal experiences. Create social proof. Talk from your heart and your adventures. If you have a yoga site, talk about how yoga changed your life, how you were introduced and share some specific strategies for getting started in yoga. Share resources and be original.
Then get it online, share it with everyone you know and start getting people to signup. Get feedback, testimonials, comments and suggestions for improvement. This will open up the line of communication with your audience to get you on the right track towards creating a value driven paid product.
The biggest tip is to write about what you know and what you believe, not what you “think” others want to see or read.
Question Of The Day
Do you have a free front end product? What is it? Has it gotten the results you hoped it would? Let’s talk in the comments below.

P.S. You can grab our free report, The Radically Ambitious Guide To Creating Social Proof here, and if you need some help in getting your thoughts together and an accountability plan to create your first (or second, or third) info product, hire me. I have a few spots left in the Product Creation Sessions.

I’m just starting to build my email list and getting a grip on this whole Social Proof concept. Your post just reinforced what I’ve been doing. It’s nice to know I’m on the right track. Thanks for Sharing.
Thanks Tony. Your site is looking great. One thing I would mention and suggest is to give people a reason to sign up to your newsletter. It’s in a great position on your site, now you just need to give an incentive to join. From there it’s up to you to deliver great value to that list. Great job and thanks for dropping by!
